Education & Experience:
Rock studied business administration in the School of Management at the Jilin University of Technology from 1986 to 1990. After graduation, Rock was engaged in quality assurance work in a joint venture for three years. In 1993, he worked as an ISO9000 consultant and concurrently as a translator with a Hong Kong consultation company for two years. In 1995, Rock founded the first private translation company in Guangzhou and operated the company for five years. Successful operation of this translation company during those five years established his solid reputation in Guangzhou¡¯s translation sector. In 2000, Rock completed several MBA courses provided by the University of West Sidney. In 2004, he founded the Guangzhou New Bridge Translation Co., Ltd., which very quickly became one of the most respected and well-known translation companies in Guangzhou. During his 14-year career in translation, Rock has translated and proofread over eight million words.

Lane Lau, Senior Translator |

Education & Experience:
Mr. Lane Lau majored in scientific English from 1988 to 1993 in the Foreign Language Department at the West China University of Medical Sciences. After graduation, Lane worked in a pharmaceutical company in Changsha as an English secretary. In 1994, Lane worked in a management consultation company in Shenzhen as a translator, where Lane translated numerous materials, guidelines, training manuals, quality management procedure documents and commercial manuals related to ISO9000 series standards, including BSI training course manuals for quality management system auditors. Since 1995, Lane has been working with Rock¡¯s translation company as a full time professional translator. Lane is highly regarded by his clients for his professionalism and 13 years of rich experience in translation.
Areas of Expertise:Medical and pharmaceutical materials, business management procedures, commercial contracts and other non-technical documents.

Xu Ren Shan, Senior Translator |

Education & Experience:
Mr. Xu was well educated and trained in both technical area and linguistic area. from 1994 to 1997, he studied silicate chemical industry and computer application in the Department of Materials, Tongji University. From 2002 to 2004, he studied English for university degree in Guangdong University for Foreign Studies. Before joining NBT in 2005, Xu had 6-year technical translation experience, including 3-year service in Guangdong SGS Technical Services Co., Ltd. from 1997 to 2000 and 3-year experience in a IT company in Guangzhou as senior website translator from 2000-2004.
Xu enjoys his career as a translator and has translated over one million words during his 8-year translation career. He has translated and published an IT book.
Areas of Expertise:Information technology (software), quality management, logistics, chemical industry and electro-mechanics.

Prof. Gregory Mavrides, PhD |

Gregory Mavrides earned his doctorate in social psychology from Columbia University and received six years of post-graduate training at the New York University Psychoanalytic Institute.He is a highly experienced psychologist, mental health forensic expert, healthcare administrator and academician and he is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Trainer.In 1994, Prof. Mavrides was awarded the First Annual Teacher of the Year Award by the graduating class of Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida and he is a biographee in the international reference books Marquis Who¡¯s Who in The World, in Science and Engineering and in Medicine and Healthcare.He has presented and published numerous articles in the field of mental health over the course of his 23 year career and, in 2006, he was appointed to the editorial board of the American Psychological Association. As of August 2004, Dr. Mavrides has been working as a professor at Hainan University, where he teaches courses in psycholinguistics and western literature in the master¡¯s degree program in linguistics.In January 2007, Dr. Mavrides was presented with Hainan Island¡¯s Coconut Commemorative Award for his contributions to the university and the community.He has many years of copyediting experience and his areas of expertise include healthcare, mental health, medicine, forensics, pharmaceuticals, management and computer technology.
